This place full of dunes is 60 kilometers west from M’Hamid El Ghizlane. Long of 40 kilometers and large of 15 kilometers, this erg, where some dune are 300 meters high, is the most important and savage of Morocco. Because of an hard access, you can go other there only by 4×4 (2 hours of trail), or by camel-ride (3 days) from M’hamid. The erg of Chigaga is not really frequented, so it let you have a real experience in a savage desert.

Day 1 : Marrakech → Aït-ben-Haddou The departure is in front of your hotel in Marrakech in the morning. Direction kasbah d’Aït-ben-Haddou through Tichka mountain pass and his amazing landscapes of Berber colors. Visit and lunch at kasbah de Télouet, a berber village. After lunch, we continue to kasbah d’Aït-ben-Haddou through the trail. Visit of the kasbah classified at the world patrimony of UNESCO. Dinner and night in the riad. Day 2 : Aït-ben-Haddou → erg Lihoudi (« Jewish Dune ») Departure after breakfast in the direction of Drâa valley. ...

Hassan, Abdu, Mohammed & the whole team took care of us with their kindness and their delicious food. The view from the dunes of Erg Lihoudi was breathtaking, especially at sunset. The camp is down to earth and offers a wonderful insight into desert life. A place where you can unwind. Thanks to the whole team – we would love to come back!”
