4X4 EXCURSION SOUTH MOROCCO, MARRAKECH- OUARZAZATE – ZAGORA DESERT, 2 DAYS

This tour allows you to visit the key stages between Marrakech and the Sahara: the Atlas Mountains and the Tichka Pass, Ouarzazate, Zagora and its dunes.
A 4×4 tour, a kasbah visit, a camel trek, and a night in a bivouac under the starry desert sky.

Day 1: Marrakech – Ait BENHADDOU – Ouarzazate – Draa Valley – Zagora – Nkhila Dunes

Departing from Marrakech around 7:00 a.m. to make the most of the day, we cross the High Atlas Mountains, via the Tichka Pass, 2,600 m above sea level. We will stop to admire the panoramic view.

We leave the main paved road and take the track that leads us to the ancient Kasbah of Ait BENHADDOU, nestled in a landscape of mountains.

We visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou and its sloping alleys. Once the walk is over, we have lunch and then continue our journey to Ouarzazate, a city opening onto the Sahara. Then, passing through Agdz where the Draa Valley begins, we follow the palm grove for 200 km and arrive in Zagora (the date capital). We meet our camel drivers and set off to admire the sunset of the Arabian Nights. Dinner and evening at the bivouac under the starry sky, night in Berber tents.

Day 2: Zagora – Agdz – Ouarzazate – Tichka Pass – Marrakech

On camelback, we return to Zagora early in the morning. This time, we admire the magical sunrise. From Zagora, we enjoy the panoramic view of the largest palm valley in the world. We continue our journey, coffee break at the Oulad Atman kasbah. Dates are available upon request. We leave for Ouarzazate, also known as the Hollywood of Africa, where famous films such as The Last Temptation of Christ and Asterix and Obelix were filmed. Optionally, we visit the film studios. We have lunch there at the Jardin Restaurant, then head to Marrakech and arrive at your accommodation around 6:00 p.m.
